وَّاَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاۤءَ فَوَجَدْنٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيْدًا وَّشُهُبًاۖ ( الجن: ٨ )
And that we
وَأَنَّا
और बेशक हम
sought to touch
لَمَسْنَا
छुआ हमने
the heaven
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
आसमान को
but we found it
فَوَجَدْنَٰهَا
तो पाया हमने उसे
filled (with)
مُلِئَتْ
भरा हुआ है
guards
حَرَسًا
पहरेदारों से
severe
شَدِيدًا
सख़्त
and flaming fires
وَشُهُبًا
और शोलों से
Waanna lamasna alssamaa fawajadnaha muliat harasan shadeedan washuhuban (al-Jinn 72:8)
Muhammad Faruq Khan Sultanpuri & Muhammad Ahmed:
'और यह कि हमने आकाश को टटोला तो उसे सख़्त पहरेदारों और उल्काओं से भरा हुआ पाया
English Sahih:
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. ([72] Al-Jinn : 8)
