At-Tariq Verse 2

And what will make you realize what the nightly star is?

and how do you know what the night comer is?

And what shall teach thee what is the night-star?

What will explain to you what the night-comer is?

And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is?-

And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?-

what do you know what the night-visitor is?

How will you comprehend what the night star is?

And have you understood what the nightly arriver is?

(and what will show you what is the nightly visitor?

What enables you to perceive what it is that comes at night?

And what should make you know what the night-visitant is?

And what made you know/informed you what the Night Comer/star (Morning Star is)?

And have you understood what the nightly arriver is?

And what shall make you know what the night star is?

And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is?

The star of piercing brightness --

And what will make you know what the comer by night is?

- Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is!

Do you know what al-tariq is?

What could let you know what the nightly comer is!

And what will make you to know what At-Tariq is

and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night?

But what will let you know what at-Tariq is?

And what will tell you what the night-visitor is? (m'l-triq is a subject and predicate, standing as the second object of [the verb] adr, `tell'; and what comes after the first m, `what', is the predicate thereof [of this first m]) -- this [statement] emphasises the magnificence of the `night-visitor', which is explained in what follows. It is;

And what will make you to know what At-Tariq is?

Then He explains it by His saying,

النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ
