اَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ اَلَّا يَرْجِعُ اِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا ەۙ وَّلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَّلَا نَفْعًا ࣖ ( طه: ٨٩ )
Then did not they see
أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ
அவர்கள் பார்க்கவேண்டாமா
that not
أَلَّا
அது
it (could) return
يَرْجِعُ
திரும்ப
to them
إِلَيْهِمْ
அவர்களுக்கு
a word
قَوْلًا
பேசாமல் இருப்பதை
and not possess
وَلَا يَمْلِكُ
இன்னும் ஆற்றல் பெறவில்லை
for them
لَهُمْ
அவர்களுக்கு
any harm
ضَرًّا
தீமை செய்வதற்கும்
and not any benefit?
وَلَا نَفْعًا
நன்மை செய்வதற்கும்
Afalaa yarawna allaa yarji'u ilaihim qawlanw wa laa yamliku lahum darranw wa laa naf'aa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:89)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
(என்ன ஆச்சரியம்!) அவர்களு(டைய கேள்விகளு)க்கு அச்சிலை யாதொரு பதில் கூறாமலிருப்பதையும், நன்மையோ தீமையோ (யாதொன்றையும்) அவர்களுக்குச் செய்ய சக்தியற்று இருப்பதையும் அவர்கள் கவனித்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?
English Sahih:
Did they not see that it could not return to them any speech [i.e., response] and that it did not possess for them any harm or benefit? ([20] Taha : 89)
