اِذْ قَالَ لِاَبِيْهِ يٰٓاَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِيْ عَنْكَ شَيْـًٔا   ( مريم: ٤٢ )

Iz qaala li abeehi yaaa abati lima ta'budu maa laa yasma'u wa laa yubsiru wa laa yughnee 'anka shai'aa (Maryam 19:42)

Sahih International:

[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all? (Maryam [19] : 42)

when he said to his father, “My dear father, why do you worship something that does neither hear nor see, nor help you in any way?
