Al-Muddaththir Verse 9

that will ˹truly˺ be a difficult Day—

that Day will be a difficult day,

that day will be a harsh day,

that will be a Day of anguish for the disbelievers.

That shall be - that Day-a day hard.

That will be- that Day - a Day of Distress,-

that will surely be a hard day,

It will be a day of distress,

So that is a tough day.

that will be a day of hardship,

That Day will be a day of hardship,

That will be a day full of woe and distress (for the opponents of Truth for this day will spell final defeat of disbelief).

So that, that day (is) a difficult/distressing day/time.

So that is a tough day.

That, at that time, shall be a Day of distress,

Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day.

Leave Me alone with him whom I created,

That, at that time, shall be a difficult day,

Surely that day will be a day of anguish,

it will be a hard day

that shall be a Harsh Day

Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day.

that Day will be a hard and distressing Day.

That Day will be a difficult day.

that day, that is to say, the time of the sounding (yawma'idhin is a substitution for the preceding subject, and is not declined because it is annexed to something that cannot be declined; the predicate of the subject [is the following]) will be a harsh day (idh is operated by what is indicated by the statement; ishtadda'l- amru, `[for when the trumpet is sounded] the situation will be terrible'),

عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍ
