فَاَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَّهٗ خُوَارٌ فَقَالُوْا هٰذَآ اِلٰهُكُمْ وَاِلٰهُ مُوْسٰى ەۙ فَنَسِيَ ۗ ( طه: ٨٨ )
Fa akhraja lahum 'ijlan jasadal lahoo khuwaarun faqaaloo haazaaa ilaahukum wa ilaahu Moosaa fanasee (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:88)
English Sahih:
And he extracted for them [the statue of] a calf which had a lowing sound, and they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot." (Taha [20] : 88)

Ensuite, le Samaritain a façonné grâce à ces bijoux le corps sans vie d’un veau… qui mugissait comme un vrai veau, et le présenta aux Israélites. Ceux qui ont été charmés par l’œuvre du Samaritain dirent: Ceci est votre dieu adoré et le dieu de Moïse mais celui-ci l’a oublié et l’a laissé ici.
