اَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَاُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوْحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوْدَ ەۙ وَقَوْمِ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَاَصْحٰبِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكٰتِۗ اَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِۚ فَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلٰكِنْ كَانُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُوْنَ ( التوبة: ٧٠ )
Alam yatihim nabao allatheena min qablihim qawmi noohin wa'adin wathamooda waqawmi ibraheema waashabi madyana waalmutafikati atathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona (at-Tawbah 9:70)

क्या उन्हें उन लोगों का वृतान्त नहीं पहुँचा जो उनसे पहले गुज़रे - नूह के लोगो का, आद और समूद का, और इबराहीम की क़ौम का और मदयनवालों का और उन बस्तियों का जिन्हें उलट दिया गया? उसके रसूल उनके पास खुली निशानियाँ लेकर आए थे, फिर अल्लाह ऐसा न था कि वह उनपर अत्याचार करता, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने-आप पर अत्याचार कर रहे थे
English Sahih:
Has there not reached them the news of those before them – the people of Noah and [the tribes of] Aad and Thamud and the people of Abraham and the companions [i.e., dwellers] of Madyan and the towns overturned? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. And Allah would never have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves. ([9] At-Tawbah : 70)

क्या इन मुनाफिक़ों को उन लोगों की ख़बर नहीं पहुँची है जो उनसे पहले हो गुज़रे हैं नूह की क़ौम और आद और समूद और इबराहीम की क़ौम और मदियन वाले और उलटी हुई बस्तियों के रहने वाले कि उनके पास उनके रसूल वाजेए (और रौशन) मौजिज़े लेकर आए तो (वह मुब्तिलाए अज़ाब हुए) और ख़ुदा ने उन पर जुल्म नहीं किया मगर ये लोग ख़ुद अपने ऊपर जुल्म करते थे
