قَوۡلٌ مَّعۡرُوۡفٌ وَّمَغۡفِرَةٌ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ صَدَقَةٍ يَّتۡبَعُهَاۤ اَذًىؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَنِىٌّ حَلِيۡمٌ(البقرة :263)
قَوْلٌ
A word
مَّعْرُوفٌ
kind
وَمَغْفِرَةٌ
and (seeking) forgiveness
خَيْرٌ
(are) better
مِّن
than
صَدَقَةٍ
a charity
يَتْبَعُهَآ
followed [it]
أَذًىۗ
(by) hurt
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
غَنِىٌّ
(is) All-Sufficient
حَلِيمٌ
All-Forbearing
Qawlun ma'roofun wamaghfiratun khayrun min sadaqatin yatba'uha athan waAllahu ghaniyyun haleemun
Sahih International:
Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allah is Free of need and Forbearing.
