تِلْكَ اُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُمْ مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ ۚ وَلَا تُسْـَٔلُوْنَ عَمَّا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ( البقرة: ١٣٤ )

أُمَّةٌ
(was) a community
ഒരു സമുദായമത്രെ
qad khalat
قَدْ خَلَتْۖ
(which) has passed away
അത് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി
lahā
لَهَا
for it
അതിനുണ്ട്, ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും
mā kasabat
مَا كَسَبَتْ
what it earned
അത് സമ്പാദിച്ചുവെച്ചത് , നേടിയത്
walakum
وَلَكُم
and for you
നിങ്ങള്ക്കുമുണ്ട്
mā kasabtum
مَّا كَسَبْتُمْۖ
what you earned
നിങ്ങള് സമ്പാദിച്ചുവെച്ചത്
walā tus'alūna
وَلَا تُسْـَٔلُونَ
And not you will be asked
നിങ്ങള് ചോദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമല്ല
ʿammā kānū
عَمَّا كَانُوا۟
about what they used to
അവര് ആയിരുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റി
yaʿmalūna
يَعْمَلُونَ
do
അവര് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും
Tilka ummatun qad khalat lahaa maa kasabat wa lakum maa kasabtum wa laa tus'aloona 'ammaa kaano ya'maloon (al-Baq̈arah 2:134)
English Sahih:
That was a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 134)

ഏതായാലും അത് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഒരു സമുദായം. അവര്ക്ക് അവര് ചെയ്തതിന്റെ ഫലമുണ്ട്. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്തതിന്റെയും. അവര് പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റി നിങ്ങളോട് ചോദിക്കുകയില്ല. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 134)
