وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوْا مَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوْا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ اٰبَاۤءَنَاۗ اَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطٰنُ يَدْعُوْهُمْ اِلٰى عَذَابِ السَّعِيْرِ ( لقمان: ٢١ )
Wa izaa qeela lahumut-tabi'oo maaa anzalal laahu qaaloo bal nattabi'u maa wajadnaa 'alaihi aabaaa'anaa; awalaw kaanash Shaitaanu yad'oohum ilaa 'azaabis sa'eer (Luq̈mān 31:21)
English Sahih:
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze? (Luqman [31] : 21)

''അല്ലാഹു ഇറക്കിത്തന്നതിനെ പിന്പറ്റുക''യെന്ന് അവരോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാല് അവര് പറയും: ''അല്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്വപിതാക്കള് ഏതൊരു മാര്ഗത്തില് നിലകൊള്ളുന്നതായാണോ ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളത് ആ മാര്ഗമാണ് ഞങ്ങള് പിന്പറ്റുക.'' കത്തിക്കാളുന്ന നരകത്തീയിലേക്കാണ് പിശാച് അവരെ നയിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില് അതുമവര് പിന്പറ്റുമെന്നോ? (ലുഖ്മാന് [31] : 21)

അല്ലാഹു അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതിനെ നിങ്ങള് പിന്തുടരൂ എന്ന് അവരോട് പറയപ്പെട്ടാല്, അല്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കള് എന്തൊന്നില് നിലകൊള്ളുന്നതായി ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടുവോ അതിനെയാണ് ഞങ്ങള് പിന്തുടരുക എന്നായിരിക്കും അവര് പറയുക. പിശാച് ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന നരകശിക്ഷയിലേക്കാണ് അവരെ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില് പോലും (അവരതിനെ പിന്തുടരുകയോ?)
