وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوْا مَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوْا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ اٰبَاۤءَنَاۗ اَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطٰنُ يَدْعُوْهُمْ اِلٰى عَذَابِ السَّعِيْرِ ( لقمان: ٢١ )
Waitha qeela lahumu ittabi'oo ma anzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabi'u ma wajadna 'alayhi abaana awalaw kana alshshaytanu yad'oohum ila 'athabi alssa'eeri (Luq̈mān 31:21)

अब जब उनसे कहा जाता है कि 'उस चीज़ का अनुसरण करो जो अल्लाह न उतारी है,' तो कहते है, 'नहीं, बल्कि हम तो उस चीज़ का अनुसरण करेंगे जिसपर हमने अपने बाप-दादा को पाया है।' क्या यद्यपि शैतान उनको भड़कती आग की यातना की ओर बुला रहा हो तो भी?
English Sahih:
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze? ([31] Luqman : 21)

और जब उनसे कहा जाता है कि जो (किताब) ख़ुदा ने नाज़िल की है उसकी पैरवी करो तो (छूटते ही) कहते हैं कि नहीं हम तो उसी (तरीक़े से चलेंगे) जिस पर हमने अपने बाप दादाओं को पाया भला अगरचे शैतान उनके बाप दादाओं को जहन्नुम के अज़ाब की तरफ बुलाता रहा हो (तो भी उन्ही की पैरवी करेंगे)
