وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوْٓا اَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَاۤءًۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَالًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاللّٰهُ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ ( المائدة: ٣٨ )
wal-sāriqu
وَٱلسَّارِقُ
And (for) the male thief
മോഷ്ടിച്ചവന്‍, കട്ടവന്‍
wal-sāriqatu
وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ
and the female thief -
മോഷ്ടിച്ചവളും, കട്ടവളും
fa-iq'ṭaʿū
فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟
[then] cut off
നിങ്ങള്‍ മുറിക്കുവിന്‍
aydiyahumā
أَيْدِيَهُمَا
their hands
അവര്‍ രണ്ടാളുടെയും കൈകള്‍
jazāan
جَزَآءًۢ
(as) a recompense
പ്രതിഫലമായിട്ട്, കൂലിയായിട്ട്
bimā kasabā
بِمَا كَسَبَا
for what they earned
അവര്‍ സമ്പാദിച്ച (പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ച)തിന്
nakālan
نَكَٰلًا
(as) an exemplary (punishment)
ഒരു (പാഠമായ) ശിക്ഷയായിട്ട്, കൂലിയായിട്ട്
mina l-lahi
مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ
from Allah
അല്ലാഹുവില്‍ നിന്ന്
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
അല്ലാഹുവാകട്ടെ
ʿazīzun
عَزِيزٌ
(is) All-Mighty
പ്രതാപശാലിയാണ്
ḥakīmun
حَكِيمٌ
All-Wise
അഗാധജ്ഞനാണ്
Wassaariqu qassaariqatu faqta'oo aidiyahumma jazaaa'am bimaa kasabaa nakaalam minal laah; wallaahu 'Azeezun hakeem (al-Māʾidah 5:38)
English Sahih:
[As for] the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they earned [i.e., committed] as a deterrent [punishment] from Allah. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. (Al-Ma'idah [5] : 38)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
കള്ളന്റെയും കള്ളിയുെടയും കൈകള്‍ മുറിച്ചുകളയുക. അവര്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചതിനുള്ള പ്രതിഫലമാണത്; അല്ലാഹുവില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള മാതൃകാപരമായ ശിക്ഷയും. അല്ലാഹു പ്രതാപവാനും യുക്തിമാനുമാകുന്നു. (അല്‍മാഇദ [5] : 38)
