قَالُوْٓا اَضْغَاثُ اَحْلَامٍ ۚوَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَأْوِيْلِ الْاَحْلَامِ بِعٰلِمِيْنَ ( يوسف: ٤٤ )

They said
aḍghāthu
أَضْغَٰثُ
"Confused
aḥlāmin
أَحْلَٰمٍۖ
dreams
wamā
وَمَا
and not
naḥnu
نَحْنُ
we
bitawīli
بِتَأْوِيلِ
(are) in the interpretation
l-aḥlāmi
ٱلْأَحْلَٰمِ
(of) the dreams
biʿālimīna
بِعَٰلِمِينَ
learned"
Qaalooo adghaasu ahlaa minw wa maa nahnu bitaaweelil ahlaami bi'aalimeen (Yūsuf 12:44)
Sahih International:
They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams." (Yusuf [12] : 44)
1 Mufti Taqi Usmani
They said, “(It seems to be) a mishmash of dreams, and we do not know the interpretation of dreams.”
