كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ الْمَوْتِۗ وَنَبْلُوْكُمْ بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً ۗوَاِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ   ( الأنبياء: ٣٥ )

(will) taste
l-mawti
ٱلْمَوْتِۗ
[the] death
wanablūkum
وَنَبْلُوكُم
And We test you
bil-shari
بِٱلشَّرِّ
with [the] bad
wal-khayri
وَٱلْخَيْرِ
and [the] good
fit'natan
فِتْنَةًۖ
(as) a trial;
wa-ilaynā
وَإِلَيْنَا
and to Us
tur'jaʿūna
تُرْجَعُونَ
you will be returned

Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawt; wa nablookum bishsharri walkhairi fitnatanw wa ilainaa turja'oon (al-ʾAnbiyāʾ 21:35)

Sahih International:

Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. (Al-Anbya [21] : 35)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Every one has to taste death, and We test you through bad and good (situations) with a trial, and to Us you are to be returned.
