Adh-Dhariyat Verse 10

Condemned are the liars—

Doomed are those who base their beliefs on conjecture.

Perish the conjecturers

Perish the liars,

Perish the conjecturers

Woe to the falsehood-mongers,-

Doomed are the conjecturers

Perish will those who just guess and speculate,

Slain be those who mould from their imaginations.

Perish the liars,

Be away from God’s mercy the liars building on conjecture,

Woe to the falsehood-mongers,

The liars/speculators were killed.

Slain be those who mould from their imaginations.

Cursed be the conjecturers (or lie-mongers),

Cursed be the liars,

He is turned away from it who would be turned away.

Cursed be the liars,

Accursed be the conjecturers

Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures.

Woe to the liars

Cursed be Al-Kharrasun

May the conjecturers perish,

Perish the imposters.

Perish the conjecturers, accursed be the liars, those of differing opinions,

Cursed be Al-Kharrasun,

Mujahid said; "The liars.

This is similar to what is mentioned in Surah `Abasa;

قُتِلَ الاِنسَـنُ مَأ أَكْفَرَهُ

Be cursed man! How ungrateful he is! (80;17)
Al-Kharrasun are those who claim that they will never be brought back to life, doubting the coming of Resurrection."

Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn Abbas;

"Cursed be the doubters."

Mu`adh said similarly, may Allah be pleased with him. During one of his speeches he said,

"Destroyed be the doubters."

Qatadah said,

"Al-Kharrasun are the people of doubt and suspicion."

Allah said;

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
