An-Naba Verse 7

and ˹made˺ the mountains as ˹its˺ pegs,[[ Just like tent pegs and icebergs, mountains go deep below the surface, slowing tectonic movement.]]

And the mountains as stakes,

and the mountains as pegs?

and make the mountains to keep it stable?

And the mountains as stakes?

And the mountains as pegs?

and fixed the mountains like pegs,

The mountains tent-pins?

And the mountains as pegs?

and the mountains stakes?

And the mountains as masts?

And the mountains as (a series of) pegs?

And the mountains (as) stakes/hooks (anchors) .

And the mountains as pegs?

And the mountains as projections (thereon)?

And the mountains as pegs?

And we have created you in pairs,

And the mountains as projections (thereon)?

And the high hills bulwarks?

and the mountains as pegs (to anchor the earth)?

and the mountains as pegs?

And the mountains as pegs

and raised the mountains like supporting poles?

And the mountains pegs?

and the mountains pegs?, with which the earth is tied down like tents are tied down with pegs (the interrogative is meant as an affirmative).

And the mountains as pegs,

meaning, He made them as pegs for the earth to hold it in place, make it stable and firm. This is so that it may be suitable for dwelling and not quake with those who are in it.

Then Allah says,

وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا
