يٰٓاِبْرٰهِيْمُ اَعْرِضْ عَنْ هٰذَا ۚاِنَّهٗ قَدْ جَاۤءَ اَمْرُ رَبِّكَۚ وَاِنَّهُمْ اٰتِيْهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُوْدٍ ( هود: ٧٦ )
Yaaa Ibraaheemu a'rid 'an haazaaa innahoo qad jaaa'a amru Rabbika wa innahum aateehim 'azaabun ghairun mardood (Hūd 11:76)
English Sahih:
[The angels said], "O Abraham, give up this [plea]. Indeed, the command of your Lord has come, and indeed, there will reach them a punishment that cannot be repelled." (Hud [11] : 76)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
O Abraham, renonce à cela; car l'ordre de Ton Seigneur est déjà venu, et un châtiment irrévocable va leur arriver». (Hud [11] : 76)

Les anges répondirent à sa requête en ces termes: Ô Abraham, renonce à plaider en faveur du peuple de Loth car l’ordre qu’ils soient châtiés a été décrété par ton Seigneur. Un châtiment terrible va irrévocablement s’abattre sur eux et il ne sera éloigné ni par un plaidoyer ni par une invocation.
