يَّتَجَرَّعُهٗ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيْغُهٗ وَيَأْتِيْهِ الْمَوْتُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَّمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍۗ وَمِنْ وَّرَاۤىِٕهٖ عَذَابٌ غَلِيْظٌ ( ابراهيم: ١٧ )
Yatajarra'uhoo wa laa yakaadu yuseeghuhoo wa yaateehil mawtu min kulli makaaninw wa maa huwa bimaiyitinw wa minw waraaa'ihee 'azaabun ghaleez (ʾIbrāhīm 14:17)
English Sahih:
He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment. (Ibrahim [14] : 17)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
qu'il tentera d'avaler à petites gorgées. Mais c'est à peine s'il peut l'avaler. La mort lui viendra de toutes parts, mais il ne mourra pas; et il aura un châtiment terrible. (Ibrahim [14] : 17)

Il se fera continuellement violence afin d’avaler ce pus mais il en sera incapable en raison de son amertume, de sa chaleur ardente et de sa puanteur. La mort le cernera de toute part tellement sa souffrance sera grande mais il ne connaîtra pas le repos que procure la mort. Il restera plutôt en vie à endurer les supplices qui deviendront de plus en plus terribles
