اِنَّآ اَنْذَرْنٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا ەۙ يَّوْمَ يَنْظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُوْلُ الْكٰفِرُ يٰلَيْتَنِيْ كُنْتُ تُرَابًا ࣖ ( النبإ: ٤٠ )
In naa anzar naakum azaaban qareebaiy-yauma yan zurul marr-u maa qaddamat yadaahu wa ya qoolul-kaafiru yaa lai tanee kuntu turaaba (an-Nabaʾ 78:40)
English Sahih:
Indeed, We have warned you of an impending punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!" (An-Naba [78] : 40)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Nous vous avons avertis d'un châtiment bien proche, le jour où l'homme verra ce que ses deux mains ont préparé; et l'infidèle dira: «Hélas pour moi! Comme j'aurais aimé n'être que poussière». (An-Naba' [78] : 40)

Certes Nous vous avons avertis, ô gens, d’un châtiment qui arrivera bientôt. Le jour ou l’homme regardera ce qu’il a accompli en ce bas monde, le mécréant dira, espérant que ses paroles feront cesser le châtiment: Si seulement j’étais devenu poussière, comme les animaux à qui on ordonne de devenir poussière le Jour de la Résurrection.
