فَاِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِى الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَّنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ ( الأنفال: ٥٧ )
fa-immā
فَإِمَّا
So if
Et si
tathqafannahum
تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ
you gain dominance over them
tu deviens dominant (sur) eux
fī
فِى
in
dans
l-ḥarbi
ٱلْحَرْبِ
the war
la guerre,
fasharrid
فَشَرِّدْ
disperse
alors disperse en effrayant
bihim
بِهِم
by them
par eux
man
مَّنْ
(those) who
quiconque
khalfahum
خَلْفَهُمْ
(are) behind them
(est) derrière eux
laʿallahum
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
afin que peut-être ils
yadhakkarūna
يَذَّكَّرُونَ
take heed
se rappelleront.
Fa immaa tasqafannahum fil harbi fasharrid bihim man khalfahum la'allahum yazzakkaroon (al-ʾAnfāl 8:57)
English Sahih:
So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded. (Al-Anfal [8] : 57)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Donc, si tu les maîtrises à la guerre, inflige-leur un châtiment exemplaire de telle sorte que ceux qui sont derrière eux soient effarouchés. Afin qu'ils se souviennent. (Al-Anfal [8] : 57)
