فَاَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهٗ بِمَآ اَخْلَفُوا اللّٰهَ مَا وَعَدُوْهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْذِبُوْنَ ( التوبة: ٧٧ )
fa-aʿqabahum
فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ
So He penalized them
Il les a donc puni
nifāqan
نِفَاقًا
(with) hypocrisy
(par) de l’hypocrisie

dans
qulūbihim
قُلُوبِهِمْ
their hearts
leurs cœurs
ilā
إِلَىٰ
until
jusqu’au
yawmi
يَوْمِ
the day
jour (où)
yalqawnahu
يَلْقَوْنَهُۥ
when they will meet Him
ils le rencontreront
bimā
بِمَآ
because
parce qu’
akhlafū
أَخْلَفُوا۟
they broke
ils ont rompu
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
(the covenant) with Allah
(envers) Allâh
mā
مَا
what
ce qu’
waʿadūhu
وَعَدُوهُ
they had promised Him
ils Lui ont promis
wabimā
وَبِمَا
and because
et parce qu’
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they used to
ils mentaient
yakdhibūna
يَكْذِبُونَ
lie
ils mentaient.
Fa a'qabahum nifaaqan fee quloobihim ilaa Yawmi yalqaw nahoo bimaaa akhlaful laaha maa wa'adoohu wa bimaa kaanoo yakhziboon (at-Tawbah 9:77)
English Sahih:
So He penalized them with hypocrisy in their hearts until the Day they will meet Him – because they failed Allah in what they promised Him and because they [habitually] used to lie. (At-Tawbah [9] : 77)

Il a donc suscité l'hypocrisie dans leurs cœurs, et cela jusqu'au jour où ils Le rencontreront, pour avoir violé ce qu'ils avaient promis à Allah et pour avoir menti. (At-Tawbah [9] : 77)
