وَيَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ شُفَعَاۤؤُنَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۗقُلْ اَتُنَبِّـُٔوْنَ اللّٰهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ سُبْحٰنَهٗ وَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ ( يونس: ١٨ )
Waya'budoona min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhum wala yanfa'uhum wayaqooloona haolai shufa'aona 'inda Allahi qul atunabbioona Allaha bima la ya'lamu fee alssamawati wala fee alardi subhanahu wata'ala 'amma yushrikoona (al-Yūnus 10:18)

वे लोग अल्लाह से हटकर उनको पूजते हैं, जो न उनका कुछ बिगाड़ सकें और न उनका कुछ भला कर सकें। और वे कहते है, 'ये अल्लाह के यहाँ हमारे सिफ़ारिशी है।' कह दो, 'क्या तुम अल्लाह को उसकी ख़बर देनेवाले? हो, जिसका अस्तित्व न उसे आकाशों में ज्ञात है न धरती में' महिमावान है वह और उसकी उच्चता के प्रतिकूल है वह शिर्क, जो वे कर रहे है
English Sahih:
And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him. ([10] Yunus : 18)

या लोग ख़ुदा को छोड़ कर ऐसी चीज़ की परसतिश करते है जो न उनको नुकसान ही पहुँचा सकती है न नफा और कहते हैं कि ख़ुदा के यहाँ यही लोग हमारे सिफारिशी होगे (ऐ रसूल) तुम (इनसे) कहो तो क्या तुम ख़ुदा को ऐसी चीज़ की ख़बर देते हो जिसको वह न तो आसमानों में (कहीं) पाता है और न ज़मीन में ये लोग जिस चीज़ को उसका शरीक बनाते है
