اَوَلَمَّآ اَصَابَتْكُمْ مُّصِيْبَةٌ قَدْ اَصَبْتُمْ مِّثْلَيْهَاۙ قُلْتُمْ اَنّٰى هٰذَا ۗ قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اَنْفُسِكُمْ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ( آل عمران: ١٦٥ )
Awalamma asabatkum museebatun qad asabtum mithlayha qultum anna hatha qul huwa min 'indi anfusikum inna Allaha 'ala kulli shayin qadeerun (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:165)

यह क्या कि जब तुम्हें एक मुसीबत पहुँची, जिसकी दोगुनी तुमने पहुँचाए, तो तुम कहने लगे कि, 'यह कहाँ से आ गई?' कह दो, 'यह तो तुम्हारी अपनी ओर से है, अल्लाह को हर चीज़ की सामर्थ्य प्राप्त है।'
English Sahih:
Why [is it that] when a [single] disaster struck you [on the day of Uhud], although you had struck [the enemy in the battle of Badr] with one twice as great, you said, "From where is this?" Say, "It is from yourselves [i.e., due to your sin]." Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. ([3] Ali 'Imran : 165)

मुसलमानों क्या जब तुमपर (जंगे ओहद) में वह मुसीबत पड़ी जिसकी दूनी मुसीबत तुम (कुफ्फ़ार पर) डाल चुके थे तो (घबरा के) कहने लगे ये (आफ़त) कहॉ से आ गयी (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि ये तो खुद तुम्हारी ही तरफ़ से है (न रसूल की मुख़ालेफ़त करते न सज़ा होती) बेशक ख़ुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है
