وَقَالُوۡا مَا هِىَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنۡيَا نَمُوۡتُ وَنَحۡيَا وَمَا يُهۡلِكُنَاۤ اِلَّا الدَّهۡرُؕ وَمَا لَهُمۡ بِذٰلِكَ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ ۚ اِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَظُنُّوۡنَ(الجاثية :24)
وَقَالُوا۟
And they say
مَا
"Not
هِىَ
it
إِلَّا
(is) but
حَيَاتُنَا
our life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
(of) the world
نَمُوتُ
we die
وَنَحْيَا
and we live
وَمَا
and not
يُهْلِكُنَآ
destroys us
إِلَّا
except
ٱلدَّهْرُۚ
the time"
وَمَا
And not
لَهُم
for them
بِذَٰلِكَ
of that
مِنْ
any
عِلْمٍۖ
knowledge;
إِنْ
not
هُمْ
they
إِلَّا
(do) but
يَظُنُّونَ
guess
Waqaloo ma hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama yuhlikuna illa alddahru wama lahum bithalika min 'ilmin in hum illa yathunnoona
Sahih International:
And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.
