وَاِنْ كَانَ اَصْحٰبُ الْاَيْكَةِ لَظٰلِمِيْنَۙ ( الحجر: ٧٨ )
wa-in kāna
وَإِن كَانَ
And were And were
നിശ്ചയമായും ആയിരുന്നു
aṣḥābu l-aykati
أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ
(the) companions (of) the wood
മരക്കാവുക്കാര്‍, ഐകത്തിന്റെ ആള്‍ക്കാര്‍
laẓālimīna
لَظَٰلِمِينَ
surely wrongdoers
അക്രമികള്‍ തന്നെ
Wa in kaana Ashaabul Aikati lazaalimeen (al-Ḥijr 15:78)
English Sahih:
And the companions of the thicket [i.e., the people of Madyan] were [also] wrongdoers, (Al-Hijr [15] : 78)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ഉറപ്പായും ഐക്കവാസികള്‍ അക്രമികളായിരുന്നു. (അല്‍ഹിജ്ര്‍ [15] : 78)

തീര്‍ച്ചയായും മരക്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ജനവിഭാഗം അക്രമികളായിരുന്നു.[1]
[1] 'ഐകത്ത്' എന്നാല്‍ മരങ്ങള്‍ തിങ്ങി നിറഞ്ഞ പ്രദേശം എന്നര്‍ത്ഥം. മദ്‌യന്‍ ദേശത്തിനടുത്തായിരുന്നു ഈ സ്ഥലം. ശുഐബ് നബി((عليه السلام)യാണ് അവരിലേക്ക് നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ട പ്രവാചകന്‍.
