قَالَ اَرَاَيْتَ اِذْ اَوَيْنَآ اِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فَاِنِّيْ نَسِيْتُ الْحُوْتَۖ وَمَآ اَنْسٰىنِيْهُ اِلَّا الشَّيْطٰنُ اَنْ اَذْكُرَهٗۚ وَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيْلَهٗ فِى الْبَحْرِ عَجَبًا ( الكهف: ٦٣ )
Qaala ara'ayta iz awainaaa ilas sakhrati fa innee naseetul hoota wa maaa ansaaneehu illash Shaitaanu an azkurah; wattakhaza sabeelahoo fil bahri'ajabaa (al-Kahf 18:63)
English Sahih:
He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan – that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly." (Al-Kahf [18] : 63)

അയാള് പറഞ്ഞു: ''അങ്ങ് കണ്ടോ? നാം ആ പാറക്കല്ലില് അഭയം തേടിയ നേരത്ത് ഞാന് ആ മത്സ്യത്തെ പറ്റെയങ്ങ് മറന്നുപോയി. അക്കാര്യം പറയാന് എന്നെ മറപ്പിച്ചത് പിശാചല്ലാതാരുമല്ല. മത്സ്യം കടലില് അദ്ഭുതകരമാം വിധം അതിന്റെ വഴി തേടുകയും ചെയ്തു.'' (അല്കഹ്ഫ് [18] : 63)

അവന് പറഞ്ഞു: താങ്കള് കണ്ടുവോ? നാം ആ പാറക്കല്ലില് അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ച സന്ദര്ഭത്തില് ഞാന് ആ മത്സ്യത്തെ മറന്നുപോവുകതന്നെ ചെയ്തു. അത് പറയാന് എന്നെ മറപ്പിച്ചത് പിശാചല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുമല്ല. അത് കടലിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ച വഴി ഒരു അത്ഭുതമാക്കിത്തീര്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
