وَاِذْ اَخَذْنَا مِيْثَاقَكُمْ لَا تَسْفِكُوْنَ دِمَاۤءَكُمْ وَلَا تُخْرِجُوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ مِّنْ دِيَارِكُمْ ۖ ثُمَّ اَقْرَرْتُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٨٤ )
wa-idh akhadhnā
وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا
And when We took
നാം വാങ്ങിയ സന്ദര്ഭം
mīthāqakum
مِيثَٰقَكُمْ
your covenant
നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉറപ്പ്, കരാര്
lā tasfikūna
لَا تَسْفِكُونَ
"Not will you shed
നിങ്ങള് ചിന്തുക (ഒഴുക്കുക)യില്ല (എന്ന്)
dimāakum
دِمَآءَكُمْ
your blood
നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്തങ്ങളെ
walā tukh'rijūna
وَلَا تُخْرِجُونَ
and not (will) evict
നിങ്ങള് പുറത്താക്കുകയുമില്ല
anfusakum
أَنفُسَكُم
yourselves
നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ
min diyārikum
مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمْ
from your homes"
നിങ്ങളുടെ വീട് (വാസസ്ഥലം)കളില് നിന്ന്
thumma
ثُمَّ
then
പിന്നെ (അതിനുപുറമെ)
aqrartum
أَقْرَرْتُمْ
you ratified
നിങ്ങള് സമ്മതിച്ചു, ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു
wa-antum
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
നിങ്ങളാകട്ടെ, നിങ്ങളായിക്കൊണ്ട്
tashhadūna
تَشْهَدُونَ
(were) witnessing
സാക്ഷ്യംവഹിക്കുന്നു
Wa iz akhaznaa meesaa qakum laa tasfikoona dimaaa'akum wa laa tukrijoona anfusakum min diyaarikum summa aqrartum wa antum tashhadoon (al-Baq̈arah 2:84)
English Sahih:
And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed your [i.e., each other's] blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 84)

പരസ്പരം ചോര ചിന്തില്ലെന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളില്നിന്ന് പുറന്തള്ളുകയില്ലെന്നും നാം നിങ്ങളില്നിന്ന് ഉറപ്പുവാങ്ങിയതോര്ക്കുക. പിന്നെ നിങ്ങളത് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. നിങ്ങളതിന് സാക്ഷികളുമായിരുന്നു. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 84)
