وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُوْدُهٗ فِى الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوْٓا اَنَّهُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُوْنَ ( القصص: ٣٩ )
wa-is'takbara
وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ
And he was arrogant
അവന് അഹങ്കാരം (ഗര്വ്വു) നടിച്ചു
huwa
هُوَ
And he was arrogant
അവന്
wajunūduhu
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
and his hosts
അവന്റെ സൈന്യങ്ങളും
fī l-arḍi
فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ
in the land
ഭൂമിയില് (നാട്ടില്)
bighayri l-ḥaqi
بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ
without right
ന്യായം കൂടാതെ, ന്യായരഹിതമായി
waẓannū
وَظَنُّوٓا۟
and they thought
അവര് ധരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു
annahum
أَنَّهُمْ
that they
നിശ്ചയമായും അവര്
ilaynā
إِلَيْنَا
to Us
നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു
lā yur'jaʿūna
لَا يُرْجَعُونَ
not will be returned
മടക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല (എന്ന്)
Wastakbara huwa wa junooduhoo fil ardi bighairil haqqi wa zannooo annahum ilainaa laa yurja'oon (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:39)
English Sahih:
And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us. (Al-Qasas [28] : 39)

അവനും അവന്റെ പടയാളികളും ഭൂമിയില് അന്യായമായി അഹങ്കരിച്ചു. നമ്മിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവരില്ലെന്നാണവര് വിചാരിച്ചത്. (അല്ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 39)
