كَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوْٓا اَشَدَّ مِنْكُمْ قُوَّةً وَّاَكْثَرَ اَمْوَالًا وَّاَوْلَادًاۗ فَاسْتَمْتَعُوْا بِخَلَاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِخَلَاقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلَاقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِيْ خَاضُوْاۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ حَبِطَتْ اَعْمَالُهُمْ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ ۚوَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ ( التوبة: ٦٩ )
Kallazeena min qablikum kaanoo ashadda minkum quwwatanw wa aksara amwaalanw wa awlaadan fastamta'oo bikhalaaqihim fastamta'tum bikhalaaqikum kamas tamta'al lazeena min qablikum bikhalaa qihim wa khudtum kallazee khaadooo; ulaaa'ika habitat a'maaluhum fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati wa ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon (at-Tawbah 9:69)
English Sahih:
[You disbelievers are] like those before you; they were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their portion [of worldly enjoyment], and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion, and you have engaged [in vanities] like that in which they engaged. [It is] those whose deeds have become worthless in this world and in the Hereafter, and it is they who are the losers. (At-Tawbah [9] : 69)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നവരെപ്പോലെത്തന്നെയാണ് നിങ്ങളും. എന്നാല് അവര് നിങ്ങളേക്കാള് കരുത്തന്മാരായിരുന്നു. കൂടുതല് മുതലും മക്കളുമുള്ളവരും. അങ്ങനെ തങ്ങളുടെ വിഹിതം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവര് സുഖമാസ്വദിച്ചു. നിങ്ങളുടെ മുന്ഗാമികള് തങ്ങളുടെ വിഹിതംകൊണ്ട് സുഖമാസ്വദിച്ചപോലെ ഇപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഹിതമുപയോഗിച്ച് സുഖിച്ചു. അവര് അധര്മങ്ങളില് ആണ്ടിറങ്ങിയപോലെ നിങ്ങളും ആണ്ടിറങ്ങി. ഇഹത്തിലും പരത്തിലും അവരുടെ പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും പാഴായിരിക്കുന്നു. അവര് തന്നെയാണ് നഷ്ടം പറ്റിയവര്. (അത്തൗബ [9] : 69)
1 Abdul Hameed/Parappoor (അബ്ദുല് ഹമീദ് & പറപ്പൂര്)
നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നവരെപ്പോലെത്തന്നെ. നിങ്ങളെക്കാള് കനത്ത ശക്തിയുള്ളവരും, കൂടുതല് സ്വത്തുക്കളും സന്തതികളുമുള്ളവരുമായിരുന്നു അവര്. അങ്ങനെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഓഹരികൊണ്ട് അവര് സുഖമനുഭവിച്ചു. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ആ മുന്ഗാമികള് അവരുടെ ഓഹരികൊണ്ട് സുഖമനുഭവിച്ചത് പോലെ ഇപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഓഹരികൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളും സുഖമനുഭവിച്ചു. അവര് (അധര്മ്മത്തില്) മുഴുകിയത് പോലെ നിങ്ങളും മുഴുകി. അത്തരക്കാരുടെ കര്മ്മങ്ങള് ഇഹത്തിലും പരത്തിലും നിഷ്ഫലമായിരിക്കുന്നു. അവര് തന്നെയാണ് നഷ്ടം പറ്റിയവര്.
