فَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ اَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَآ اَوْلَادُهُمْ ۗاِنَّمَا يُرِيْدُ اللّٰهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ بِهَا فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ اَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ ( التوبة: ٥٥ )
Falaa tu'jibka amwaaluhum wa laaa awlaaduhum; innamaa yureedul laahu liyu'az zibahum bihaa fil hayaatid dunyaa wa tazhaqa anfusuhum wa hum kaafiroon (at-Tawbah 9:55)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
(நபியே!) அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்களும், அவர்களுடைய மக்களும் (பெருகியிருப்பது) உங்களை ஆச்சரியப்படுத்த வேண்டாம். அல்லாஹ் (அவைகளை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து) அவைகளைக் கொண்டு அவர்களை இவ்வுலக வாழ்விலேயே வேதனை செய்ய நிச்சயமாக நாடுகிறான். அன்றி, அவர்கள் நிராகரிப்பவர்களாக இருக்கும் நிலைமையில் அவர்களுடைய உயிர் போவதையும் (நாடுகிறான்.)
English Sahih:
So let not their wealth or their children impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through them in worldly life and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers. ([9] At-Tawbah : 55)

அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்களும், அவர்களுடைய மக்கள் (பெருக்கமும்) உம்மை ஆச்சரியப்படுத்த வேண்டாம்; அல்லாஹ் அவற்றைக் கொண்டு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையிலேயே அவர்களை வேதனை செய்யவும், அவர்கள் காஃபிர்களாக இருக்கிற நிலையில் அவர்களுடைய உயிர்கள் பிரிவதையும் நாடுகிறான்.
