وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوْٓا اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَاۤءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًاۢ بَيْنَهُمْۗ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْۗ وَاِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْرِثُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِيْ شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيْبٍ   ( الشورى: ١٤ )

Wa maa tafarraqooo illaa mim ba'di maa jaaa'ahumul 'ilmu baghyam bainahum; wa law laa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika ilaaa ajalim musammal laqudiya bainahum; wa innal lazeena oorisul Kitaaba mim ba'dihim lafee shakkim minhu mureeb (aš-Šūrā 42:14)

English Sahih:

And they did not become divided until after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord [postponing the penalty] until a specified time, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, those who were granted inheritance of the Scripture after them are, concerning it, in disquieting doubt. (Ash-Shuraa [42] : 14)

Ma Jian (Simplified):

知识来临他们之后,他们才为互相嫉妒而分派别。假若不是因为你的主已预先说过要延期惩治,那么,他们必已受裁判了。在他们之后继承天经的人们,对于天经,的确在使人犹豫的疑惑中。 (协商 [42] : 14)

1 Mokhtasar Chinese

不信道者和以物配主者,在证明穆罕默德(愿主福安之)先知身份的明证来临他们后产生分裂,他们分裂的原因只是嫉妒和不义。假若不是真主预先设置延缓对他们的惩罚至一个定期——即复活日,那么,祂定会因他们的不信和否认使者而立刻判决,惩罚他们。继承《讨拉特》犹太教徒和继承《引支勒》的基督教徒,对于穆罕默德(愿主福安之)所带来的《古兰经》确是处在怀疑之中,并坚决予以否认。
