Hud Verse 1

Alif-Lãm-Ra. ˹This is˺ a Book whose verses are well perfected and then fully explained. ˹It is˺ from the One ˹Who is˺ All-Wise, All-Aware.

Alif Lām Ra. This is a Book whose verses are perfected, then fully explained, from One Who is All-Wise, All-Aware.

Alif Lam Ra. A Book whose verses are set clear, and then distinguished, from One All-wise, All-aware:

Alif Lam Ra [This is] a Scripture whose verses are perfected, then set out clearly, from One who is all wise, all aware.

Alif. Lam. Ra. A Book this, the verses whereof are guarded, and then detailed, from before the Wise, the Aware.

A. L. R. (This is) a Book, with verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning), further explained in detail,- from One Who is Wise and Well-acquainted (with all things);

Alif. Lam. Ra. This is a Divine Command whose contents have been made firm and set forth in detail from One Who is All-Wise, All-Aware

ALIF LAM RA. This is a Book whose verses are indeclinable and distinct, which comes from One who is most wise and all-knowing,

Alif-Lam-Ra*; “This is a Book, the verses of which are full of wisdom – then explained in detail – from the Wise, the Well Aware.” (* Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)

Alif, Lam Ra. [This is] a Book, whose signs have been made definitive and then elaborated, from One [who is] all-wise, all-aware,

Alif. Lam. Ra. A Book whose Revelations in verses have been made firm (absolutely free of doubt, alteration, or annulment) and full of wisdom, and arranged in sequence and distinctly detailed. It is from One All-Wise, All-Aware.

Alif Lâm Râ - I am Allâh, the All-Seeing. (This is) a Book, whose verses have been characterised by wisdom and they have been explained in detail. It is from One All-Wise, All-Aware (God).

A L R , a Book its verses/evidences were perfected/tightened , then were detailed/explained/clarified from at/by (a) wise/judicious, expert/experienced .

Alif-Lam-Ra*; "This is a Book, the verses of which are full of wisdom - then explained in detail - from the Wise, the Well Aware." (* Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)

Follow what is inspired in you, and be patient until Allah judges, for He is the best of judges.

Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book, the Verses whereof are perfected (in every sphere of knowledge, etc.), and then explained in detail from One (Allah), Who is All-Wise and Well-Acquainted (with all things).

And follow what is revealed to thee and be patient till Allah give judgment, and He is the Best of the judges.

Alif Lam Ra (This is) a Book, whose verses are made decisive, then are they made plain, from the Wise, All-aware:

Alif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Scripture the revelations whereof are perfected and then expounded. (It cometh) from One Wise, Informed,

Alif. Lam. Ra. This is a Book from One who is All-wise and All-aware. Its verses are well composed and distinctly arranged (from one another)

AlifLaamRa. (This is) a Book whose verses are clear, and then distinguished from Him, the Wise, the Aware.

Alif Lam Ra. (This is) a Book, the Ayat whereof are perfect (in every sphere of knowledge), and then explained in detail from One (Allah), Who is All-Wise Well-Acquainted (with all things).

Alif Lam Ra. [This is] a Book, with verses which are fundamental [in nature], and then expounded in detail by One who is all wise and all aware.

Alif, Lam, Ra. A Scripture whose Verses were perfected, then elaborated, from One who is Wise and Informed.

Alif lm r'; God knows best what He means by these [letters]; this is, a Book whose verses have been set clear, through marvellous arrangement and wonderful meanings, and then detailed, expounded, through rulings, stories and admonitions, from One Wise, Informed, that is, [from] God.

The Qur'an and its Call to (worship) Allah Alone

Allah says;

الَر
Alif Lam Ra.

A discussion concerning the letters of the alphabet (which appear at the beginning of some chapters of the Qur'an) has already preceded at the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah. That discussion is sufficient without any need for repetition here.

كِتَابٌ
.

(This is) a Book, (referring Quran).

Concerning Allah's statement,

أُحْكِمَتْ ايَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ

The Ayat whereof are perfect and then explained in detail

This means perfect in its wording, detailed in its meaning. Thus, it is complete in its form and its meaning.

This interpretation was reported from Mujahid and Qatadah, and Ibn Jarir (At-Tabari) preferred it.

Concerning the meaning of Allah's statement,

مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ



from One (Allah), Who is All-Wise, Well-Acquainted.

This means that it (the Qur'an) is from Allah, Who is Most Wise in His statements and His Laws, and Most Aware of the final outcome of matters
