Al-Anbya Verse 98

Certainly you ˹disbelievers˺ and whatever you worship instead of Allah will be the fuel of Hell.[[ See footnote for {43:57}-58.]] You are ˹all˺ bound to enter it.

Indeed, you and all that you worship besides Allah will be the fuel for Hell; you will surely enter it.

'Surely you, and that you were serving apart from God, are fuel for Gehenna; you shall go down to it.'

You [disbelievers] and what you worship instead of God will be fuel for Hell: that is where you will go-

Verily ye and whatsoever ye worship beside Allah shall be firewood for Hell: thereunto ye shall go down.

Verily ye, (unbelievers), and the (false) gods that ye worship besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! to it will ye (surely) come!

(They will be told): "Verily you and the gods you worshipped beside Allah are the fuel of Hell. All of you are bound to arrive there.

Verily you and those you worship other than God will be faggots for Hell; and come to it you will.

“Indeed you* and all that you worship** besides Allah, are the fuel of hell; in it you must go.” (* All disbelievers ** Idols and disbelievers who claimed to be Gods. The Prophets like Eisa and Uzair who were worshipped are exempt from this, and so are Maryam, and trees and the moon etc.)

Indeed you and what [idols] you worship besides Allah shall be fuel for hell, and you will enter it.

"You and all the things you deify and worship apart from God are but firewood for Hell. You are bound to arrive in it."

(It will be said to them,) `Surely, you and the things which you worship apart from Allâh are, of course, fuel of Gehenna, where you shall enter.´

That you, and what you worship from other than God, (are) Hell`s stones/fire fuel , you are to it228nearing/approaching .

"Indeed you * and all that you worship ** besides Allah, are the fuel of hell; in it you must go." (* All disbelievers ** Idols and disbelievers who claimed to be Gods. The Prophets like Eisa and Uzair who were worshipped are exempt from this, and so are Maryam, and trees and animals etc.)

And the True Promise draws nigh, and lo! They are staring, wide-eyed are those who disbelieve, saying, "O, woe is us! We were heedless of this, aye, we were wrong-doers!"

Certainly! You (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! (Surely), you will enter it.

And the True Promise draws nigh, then lo! the eyes of those who disbelieve will be fixedly open: O woe to us! Surely we were heedless of this; nay, we were unjust.

Surely you and what you worship besides Allah are the firewood of hell; to it you shall come.

Lo! ye (idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. Thereunto ye will come.

They will be told, "You and what you had worshipped instead of God will be the fuel of hell".

You and all those who you were worshipping, other than Allah, shall be the fuel of Gehenna; there you shall all go down to it.

Certainly you and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) fuel (Hasab) for Hell! (Surely) you will enter it.

You and what you worship instead of God will be fuel for hell: to it you shall all come --

You and what you worship besides God are fuel for Hell. You will descend into it.

`Truly you, O people of Mecca, and what you worship besides God, that is, other than Him, in the way of graven images, shall be fuel for Hell, [you shall be] its fodder; and you shall come to it', [you shall] enter it.

The Idolators and their gods are Fuel for Hell

Allah says to the people of Makkah, the idolators of the Quraysh and those who followed their religion of idol worship;

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ

Certainly you and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) Hasab for Hell!

Ibn Abbas said;

"Kindling."

This is like the Ayah;

وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ

whose fuel is men and stones. (66;6)

According to another report, Ibn Abbas said;
حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ
(Hasab for Hell),

means firewood in (the dialect of the people of) Zanjiyyah.

Mujahid, Ikrimah and Qatadah said;

"Its fuel."

Ad-Dahhak said;

"The fuel of Hell means that which is thrown into it."

This was also the view of others.

أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ



(Surely) you will enter it.

means, you will go into it.
