Al-Mu'minun Verse 78

He is the One Who created for you hearing, sight, and intellect. ˹Yet˺ you hardly give any thanks.

It is He Who gave you hearing, sight and hearts. How little you give thanks!

It is He who produced for you hearing, and eyes, and hearts; little thanks you show.

It is God who endowed you with hearing, sight, and hearts- how seldom you are grateful!

And He it is Who brought forth for you hearing and sight and hearts, little thanks ye give!

It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding; little thanks it is ye give!

It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks.

It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks.

And it is He Who has created ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little is the right you acknowledge.

It is He who made for you hearing, eyesight, and hearts. Little do you thank.

He it is Who has made for you (the faculty of) hearing, and eyes, and hearts. Scarcely do you give thanks.

And (disbelievers!) it is He Who has given you ears, eyes and hearts (yet) little is the gratitude you express.

And He is who originated/developed for you the hearing/listening and the eye sights/knowledge, and the hearts , little (is) what you thank/be grateful

And it is He Who has created ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little is the right you acknowledge.

He it is who produced for you hearing and sight, and heart (or feelings, understanding, mind). Little thanks give you

It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give.

Until, when We open for them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it.

And He it is Who made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks.

He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye!

It is God who has created ears, eyes, and hearts for you. Little are the thanks that you give.

It was He who produced for you hearing, eyes, and hearts, yet little is that you thank.

It is He Who has created for you hearing, eyes, and hearts. Little thanks you give.

It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful!

It is He who produced for you the hearing, and the eyesight, and the feelings. But little gratitude you show.

And He it is Who made, created, for you hearing, meaning, ears, and eyes and hearts. Little thanks do you show (qallan m; m emphasises the paucity [of the thanks]).

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالاَْبْصَارَ وَالاَْفْيِدَةَ



It is He Who has created for you hearing, eyes, and hearts.

Allah mentions His blessings to His servants, in that He has given them hearing, sight and understanding through which they come to know things and draw lessons from them, the signs which attest to the Oneness of Allah and indicate that He is the One Who does what He wills and chooses what He wants.

قَلِيلً مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ




Little thanks you give.

means, how little you thank Allah for the blessings He has given you.

This is like the Ayah;

وَمَأ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُوْمِنِينَ

And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly. (12;103)

He says;

وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الاَْرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

But Allah is He Who blessed you, people with the faculties of hearing and sight -faculties divine- and He implanted in you the seat of feeling, understanding and thought. Yet how little you render thanks or express gratitude in acknowledgement of His favours
