Al-Mu'minun Verse 82

They said, “Once we are dead and reduced to dust and bones, will we really be resurrected?

They say, “Is it that when we die and become dust and bones, will we really be resurrected?

They said, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be indeed raised up?

they say, ‘What? When we die and turn to dust and bones, shall we really be resurrected?

They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up?

They say; "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again?

They say: "Is it that when we are dead and have been reduced to dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again?

They say: "When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be raised to life again?

They say, “Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?”

They said, ‘What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected?

They say, "What! after we have died and become dust and bones, will we then be raised from the dead?

They had said, `What! shall we be certainly raised up to life when we are dead and reduced to mere dust and bones?

They said: "Is (it that) if we died, and we were dust/earth and bones, are we being resurrected/revived (E)?"

They say, "Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?"

Nay, but they say the like of that which those of yore did say.

They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed?

Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said.

They say: What! When we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised?

They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again?

They say, "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again?

'When we are dead and become dust and bones shall we be resurrected?

They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed"

"When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be raised up again?

They say, “After we have died, and become dust and bones, will we be resurrected?

They, the ancients, said, `What, when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be raised? No! (the two hamzas in each of the two instances are either pronounced fully, or with the second one not pronounced, but with an alif inserted between the two [hamzas] in both [readings]).

Nay, but they say the like of what the men of old said. They said;

"When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed!"

They thought it very unlikely that this would happen after they had disintegrated into nothing.

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَابَاوُنَا هَذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ أَسَاطِيرُ الاَْوَّلِينَ
