Al-Furqan Verse 31

Similarly, We made enemies for every prophet from among the wicked, but sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper.

Thus did we assign for every prophet an enemy from among the wicked, but your Lord is sufficient as a Guide and Helper.

Even so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy among the sinners; but thy Lord suffices as a guide and as a helper.

but We have always appointed adversaries from the wicked, for every prophet: Your Lord is sufficient guide and helper.

And even scals We appointed unto every prophet an enemy from among the culprits. And thine Lord sufficeth as GUide and Helper.

Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners; but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help.

O Muhammad, in this very way We have made the criminals the enemies of every Prophet, but your Lord suffices for you as your Guide and Helper.

Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper.

And this is how We had appointed guilty people as enemies to every Prophet; and Allah is Sufficient, to guide and to aid.

That is how for every prophet We assigned an enemy from among the guilty, and your Lord suffices as helper and guide.

So for every Prophet We have made an enemy (band) from among the disbelieving criminals committed to accumulating sins. But Your Lord is sufficient as a guide (to truth and the right course of action) and a helper (against the plots and practices of your enemies).

(Just as We have turned them into your enemies) so do We make those who cut off their ties (with Allâh) as the enemies of each and every Prophet. Yet your Lord is sufficient to guide and (enough) in respect of rendering help.

And as/like that We made/put to every/each prophet an enemy from the criminals/sinners , and enough/sufficient with your Lord guiding and a victorior/savior .

And this is how We had appointed guilty people as enemies to every Prophet; and Allah is Sufficient, to guide and to aid.

And the Messenger says, "My Lord! Verily, my own people have made this Quran of no account."

Thus have We made for every Prophet an enemy among the Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, criminals, etc.). But Sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper.

And the Messenger will say: My Lord, surely my people treat this Qur’an as a forsaken thing.

And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the sinners and sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper.

Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper.

Thus, from the sinful people We made enemies for every Prophet. Your Lord is a Sufficient Guide and Helper.

To every Prophet We have appointed an enemy among the harmdoers; your Lord is Sufficient for you, a Guide and a Helper.

Thus have We made for every Prophet an enemy among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper.

thus did We assign to every prophet an enemy from among the sinners; your Lord is sufficient as a guide and a helper.

Likewise, to every prophet We assign enemies from among the wicked. But your Lord suffices as a Guide and Savior.

God, exalted be He, says; So, just as We have appointed for you enemies from among the idolaters of your people, We have appointed to every prophet, before you, an enemy from among the guilty, the idolaters -- so be steadfast as they were; but your Lord suffices as a Guide, for you, and a Helper, to bring you victory over your enemies.

وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ

Thus have We made for every Prophet an enemy among the criminals.

means, `just as there is for you, O Muhammad, those people who scorned the Qur'an, so in all the previous nations did Allah make for every Prophet an enemy among the criminals, who called people to their misguidance and disbelief,' as Allah says;

وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نِبِىٍّ عَدُوّاً شَيَـطِينَ الاِنْسِ وَالْجِنِّ

And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies -- Shayatin among mankind and Jinn, (6;112),

as stated in these two Ayat.

Allah says here;

وَكَفَى بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا



But sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper.

meaning, for the one who follows His Messenger and believes in His Book, Allah will be his Guide and Helper in this world and the Hereafter.

Allah says
هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا
(a Guide and Helper), because the idolators used to try to prevent people from following the Qur'an lest anyone be guided by it. They wanted their way to prevail over the way of the Qur'an.

Allah says;

وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ

Thus have We made for every Prophet an enemy among the criminals
