Al-Ahzab Verse 67

And they will say, “Our Lord! We obeyed our leaders and elite, but they led us astray from the ˹Right˺ Way.

They will say, “Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and our elders, but they led us astray from the [right] way.

They shall say, 'Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and great ones, and they led us astray from the way.

and ‘Lord! We obeyed our masters and our chiefs, and they led us astray.

And they will say: our Lord! verily we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they led us astray from the way.

And they would say; "Our Lord! We obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us as to the (right) Path.

They will say: “Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they turned us away from the Right Way.

They will say: "O our Lord, we obeyed our leaders and the elders, but they only led us astray.

And they will say, “Our Lord! We followed our chiefs and our elders – so they misled us from the path!”

They will say, ‘Our Lord! We obeyed our leaders and elders, and they led us astray from the way.’

And they will say: "Our Lord! Surely we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they caused us to follow a misleading path.

The people (in general) will say, `Our Lord! we obeyed our leaders and our great ones but they led us astray from (Your) path.

And they said: "Our Lord, that we obeyed our masters/rulers , and our bigger ones/oldest so they misguided us (from) the two ways/paths/way/path

And they will say, “Our Lord! We followed our chiefs and our elders – so they misled us from the path!”

And they shall say, "O our Lord! Surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us astray from the path

And they will say: "Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the (Right) Way.

On the day when their leaders are turned back into the Fire, they say: O would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!

And they shall say: O our Lord! surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us astray from the path;

And they say: Our Lord! Lo! we obeyed our princes and great men, and they misled us from the Way.

They will say, "Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and elders and they caused us to go astray.

And they shall say: 'Our Lord, We obeyed our masters and our eminent ones, but they misled us from the way.

And they will say: "Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the way."

They shall say, "Our Lord, we paid heed to our leaders and our elders, but they led us away from the right path.

And they will say, “Lord, we have obeyed our superiors and our dignitaries, but they led us away from the way.

And they, namely, those who had been the followers [of the leaders of error], shall say, `Our Lord, we obeyed our leaders (read [plural] sdatan, or sdtan, which is the plural of the plural) and elders, and they led us astray from the way, the path of guidance.

And they will say;"Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the way."

Tawus said;

"`Our chiefs' means their nobles and `our great ones' means their scholars.

And they shall say: "O Allah, our Creator, We have obeyed those who were invested with authority among us and those who were exalted in rank and in station and they led us by the nose to the wrong path
