قُلْ اِنْ ضَلَلْتُ فَاِنَّمَآ اَضِلُّ عَلٰى نَفْسِيْۚ وَاِنِ اهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوْحِيْٓ اِلَيَّ رَبِّيْۗ اِنَّهٗ سَمِيْعٌ قَرِيْبٌ   ( سبإ: ٥٠ )

ḍalaltu
ضَلَلْتُ
I err
fa-innamā
فَإِنَّمَآ
then only
aḍillu
أَضِلُّ
I will err
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
against
nafsī
نَفْسِىۖ
myself
wa-ini
وَإِنِ
But if
ih'tadaytu
ٱهْتَدَيْتُ
I am guided
fabimā
فَبِمَا
then it is by what
yūḥī
يُوحِىٓ
reveals
ilayya
إِلَىَّ
to me
rabbī
رَبِّىٓۚ
my Lord
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He
samīʿun
سَمِيعٌ
(is) All-Hearer
qarībun
قَرِيبٌ
Ever-Near"

Qul in dalaltu fainnamaaa adillu 'alaa nafsee wa inih-tadaitu fabimaa yoohee ilaiya Rabbee; innahoo Samee'un Qareeb (Sabaʾ 34:50)

Sahih International:

Say, "If I should err, I would only err against myself. But if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. Indeed, He is Hearing and near." (Saba [34] : 50)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Say, “If I go astray, I shall go astray only to my own detriment. And if I follow the right path, it is because of what my Lord reveals to me. Surely He is All-Hearer, Ever-Near.”
