وَاٰيَةٌ لَّهُمُ الَّيْلُ ۖنَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَاِذَا هُمْ مُّظْلِمُوْنَۙ  ( يس: ٣٧ )

And a Sign

(is) the night

نَسْلَخُ
We withdraw

مِنْهُ
from it
l-nahāra
ٱلنَّهَارَ
the day
fa-idhā
فَإِذَا
Then behold!
hum
هُم
They
muẓ'limūna
مُّظْلِمُونَ
(are) those in darkness

Wa Aayatul lahumul lailu naslakhu minhun nahaara fa-izaa hum muzlimoon (Yāʾ Sīn 36:37)

Sahih International:

And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it the [light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. (Ya-Sin [36] : 37)

And a sign for them is the night. We strip (the cover of) the day from it, and they are suddenly in darkness.
