اِصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوٗدَ ذَا الْاَيْدِۚ اِنَّهٗٓ اَوَّابٌ ( ص: ١٧ )

ٱلْأَيْدِۖ
the possessor of strength
innahu
إِنَّهُۥٓ
Indeed, he (was)
awwābun
أَوَّابٌ
repeatedly turning
Isbir 'alaa maa yaqooloona wazkur 'abdanaa Daawooda zal aidi aidi innahooo awwaab (Ṣād 38:17)
Sahih International:
Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah]. (Sad [38] : 17)

Bear patiently with what they say, and remember Our servant Dawūd, the man of might. Surely he was ever-turning to Allah.
