فَمَآ اُوْتِيْتُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚوَمَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ خَيْرٌ وَّاَبْقٰى لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَلٰى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُوْنَۚ   ( الشورى: ٣٦ )

famā
فَمَآ
So whatever
ūtītum
أُوتِيتُم
you are given
min
مِّن
of
shayin
شَىْءٍ
a thing
famatāʿu
فَمَتَٰعُ
(is) but a passing enjoyment
l-ḥayati
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
(for) the life
l-dun'yā
ٱلدُّنْيَاۖ
(of) the world
wamā
وَمَا
But what
ʿinda
عِندَ
(is) with
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
khayrun
خَيْرٌ
(is) better
wa-abqā
وَأَبْقَىٰ
and more lasting
lilladhīna
لِلَّذِينَ
for those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
waʿalā
وَعَلَىٰ
and upon
rabbihim
رَبِّهِمْ
their Lord
yatawakkalūna
يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
put (their) trust

Famaa ooteetum min shai'in famataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa wa maa 'indal laahi khairunw wa abqaa lillazeena aamanoo wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaloon (aš-Šūrā 42:36)

Sahih International:

So whatever thing you have been given – it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely (Ash-Shuraa [42] : 36)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

So, whatever thing has been given to you is an enjoyment of the worldly life. And that which is with Allah is much better, and much more durable for those who believe and place their trust in Allah,
