Al-Muddaththir Verse 29

Darkening and changing the colour of man!

it scorches (even) the skin.

It glows and burns the skin.

It strips away the hide of man.

Shrinking/dehydrating due to fire to the human/skin

Mujahid said, "This means for the skin."

Qatadah said, "This means burning the skin."

Ibn `Abbas said, "Burning the skin of man."

Concerning Allah's statement,

عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ

Unkind to mankind; it blackens, then burns their skin, but as often as their integument is consumed it is replaced by a fresh new skin
