وَلَوْ اَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفْسٍ ظَلَمَتْ مَا فِى الْاَرْضِ لَافْتَدَتْ بِهٖۗ وَاَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَاَوُا الْعَذَابَۚ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ ( يونس: ٥٤ )
Wa law anna likulli nafsin zalamat maa fil ardi laftadat bih; wa asarrun nadaamata lammaa ra awul 'azaab, wa qudiya bainahum bilqist; wa hum laa yuzlamoon (al-Yūnus 10:54)
English Sahih:
And if each soul that wronged had everything on earth, it would offer it in ransom. And they will confide regret when they see the punishment; and they will be judged in justice, and they will not be wronged. (Yunus [10] : 54)

Si chaque âme injuste possédait tout ce qu'il y a sur terre, elle le donnerait pour sa rançon. Ils dissimuleront leur regret quand ils verront le châtiment. Et il sera décidé entre eux en toute équité, et ils ne seront point lésés. (Yunus [10] : 54)

Si chaque polythéiste associant des divinités à Allah, disposait de toutes les richesses du monde, il y renoncerait si on lui en donnait la possibilité en échange d’être préservé du châtiment d’Allah. Les polythéistes cacheront les regrets qu’ils ont d’avoir été mécréants lorsqu’ils verront le châtiment le Jour de la Résurrection et Allah jugera entre eux avec équité, sans qu’aucune injustice ne leur soit faite. Ils ne seront en effet rétribués que pour leurs œuvres.
