يَتَوٰرٰى مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ سُوْۤءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهٖۗ اَيُمْسِكُهٗ عَلٰى هُوْنٍ اَمْ يَدُسُّهٗ فِى التُّرَابِۗ اَلَا سَاۤءَ مَا يَحْكُمُوْنَ ( النحل: ٥٩ )
yatawaaraa minal qawmimin sooo'i maa bushshira bih; a-yumsikuhoo 'alaa hoonin am yadussuhoo fit turaab; alaa saaa'a maa yahkumoon (an-Naḥl 16:59)
English Sahih:
He hides himself from the people because of the ill of which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide. (An-Nahl [16] : 59)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Il se cache des gens, à cause du malheur qu'on lui a annoncé. Doit-il la garder malgré la honte ou l'enfouira-t-il dans la terre? Combien est mauvais leur jugement! (An-Nahl [16] : 59)

Il disparaît et s’éloigne de ses proches tellement la nouvelle est dure pour lui et il se retrouve face à un dilemme:
Va-t-il garder cette fille malgré la honte et l’humiliation ou va-t-il l’enterrer et la cacher sous terre? Qu’il est immonde le jugement des polythéistes consistant à attribuer à Allah ce qu’ils détestent pour eux-mêmes!
