قَالُوْٓا اَرْجِهْ وَاَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِى الْمَدَاۤىِٕنِ حٰشِرِيْنَ ۙ ( الشعراء: ٣٦ )

They said
Ils ont dit :

أَرْجِهْ
"Post pone him
« Fais-le attendre
wa-akhāhu
وَأَخَاهُ
and his brother
et son frère
wa-ib'ʿath
وَٱبْعَثْ
and send
et envoie
fī
فِى
in
dans
l-madāini
ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ
the cities
les villes
ḥāshirīna
حَٰشِرِينَ
gatherers -
des assembleurs
Qaalooo arjih wa akhaahu wab'as filmadaaa'ini haashireen (aš-Šuʿarāʾ 26:36)
English Sahih:
They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers (Ash-Shu'ara [26] : 36)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Ils dirent: «Remets-les à plus tard, [lui] et son frère, et envoie des gens dans les villes, pour rassembler, (Ach-Chu'ara' [26] : 36)
