38. Sad ayah 33 - Coran: French

رُدُّوْهَا عَلَيَّ ۚفَطَفِقَ مَسْحًا ۢبِالسُّوْقِ وَالْاَعْنَاقِ ( ص: ٣٣ )

ruddūhā

رُدُّوهَا

"Return them

« Rendez-les

ʿalayya

عَلَىَّۖ

to me"

à moi. »

faṭafiqa

فَطَفِقَ

Then he began

Et il a ensuite commencé

masḥan

مَسْحًۢا

to pass (his hand)

(le) toucher

bil-sūqi

بِٱلسُّوقِ

over the legs

des jambes

wal-aʿnāqi

وَٱلْأَعْنَاقِ

and the necks

et les cous.

Ruddoohaa 'alaiya fatafiqa masham bissooqi wal a'naaq (Ṣād 38:33)

English Sahih:

[He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. (Sad [38] : 33)

Ramenez-les moi.» Alors il se mit à leur couper les pattes et les cous. (Sad [38] : 33)

Approchez de moi ces chevaux, ordonna-t-il et on les approcha de lui. Puis il se mit à les frapper au cou et aux pattes avec son sabre.
