اِنْ يَّسْـَٔلْكُمُوْهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوْا وَيُخْرِجْ اَضْغَانَكُمْ ( محمد: ٣٧ )

إِن
If
S’
yasalkumūhā
يَسْـَٔلْكُمُوهَا
He were to ask you for it
Il vous les demandait
fayuḥ'fikum
فَيُحْفِكُمْ
and press you
et vous poussait (à les donner),
tabkhalū
تَبْخَلُوا۟
you will withhold
vous retiendrez avec avarice
wayukh'rij
وَيُخْرِجْ
and He will bring forth
et Il fait sortir
aḍghānakum
أَضْغَٰنَكُمْ
your hatred
vos haines.
Iny yas'alkumoohaa fa yuhfikum tabkhaloo wa yukhrij adghaanakum (Muḥammad 47:37)
English Sahih:
If He should ask you for them and press you, you would withhold, and He would expose your hatred [i.e., unwillingness]. (Muhammad [47] : 37)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
S'Il vous les demandait importunément, vous deviendriez avares et Il ferait apparaître vos haines. (Muhammed [47] : 37)
