فَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ ( الذاريات: ٤٤ )
faʿataw
فَعَتَوْا۟
But they rebelled
Et ils ont ensuite été insolents
ʿan

against
devant

أَمْرِ
(the) Command
(l’)ordre
rabbihim
رَبِّهِمْ
(of) their Lord
(de) leur Maître,
fa-akhadhathumu
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
so seized them

l-ṣāʿiqatu
ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ
the thunderbolt
le coup de tonnerre
wahum
وَهُمْ
while they
pendant qu’ils
yanẓurūna
يَنظُرُونَ
were looking
regardaient.
Fa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim fa akhazal humus saa'iqatu wa hum yanzuroon (aḏ-Ḏāriyāt 51:44)
English Sahih:
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. (Adh-Dhariyat [51] : 44)

Ils défièrent le commandement de leur Seigneur et dédaignèrent avoir la foi et obéir. La foudre du châtiment les saisit alors pendant qu’ils attendaient qu’ils s’abattent sur eux, puisqu’ils en avaient été avisés trois jours avant le moment fatidique.
