قَالُوْا نَفْقِدُ صُوَاعَ الْمَلِكِ وَلِمَنْ جَاۤءَ بِهٖ حِمْلُ بَعِيْرٍ وَّاَنَا۠ بِهٖ زَعِيْمٌ ( يوسف: ٧٢ )
They said
قَالُوا۟
उन्होंने कहा
"We are missing
نَفْقِدُ
हम गुम पाते हैं
(the) cup
صُوَاعَ
पैमाना
(of) the king
ٱلْمَلِكِ
बादशाह का
And for (one) who
وَلِمَن
और उसके लिए जो
brings
جَآءَ
लाए
it
بِهِۦ
उसे
(is) a load
حِمْلُ
बोझ है
(of) a camel
بَعِيرٍ
एक ऊँट का
and I
وَأَنَا۠
और मैं
for it
بِهِۦ
उसका
(is) responsible"
زَعِيمٌ
ज़ामिन हूँ
Qaloo nafqidu suwa'a almaliki waliman jaa bihi himlu ba'eerin waana bihi za'eemun (Yūsuf 12:72)
Muhammad Faruq Khan Sultanpuri & Muhammad Ahmed:
उन्होंने कहा, 'शाही पैमाना हमें नहीं मिल रहा है। जो व्यक्ति उसे ला दे उसको एक ऊँट का बोझभर ग़ल्ला इनाम मिलेगा। मैं इसकी ज़िम्मेदारी लेता हूँ।'
English Sahih:
They said, "We are missing the measure of the king. And for he who produces it is [the reward of] a camel's load, and I am responsible for it." ([12] Yusuf : 72)
