اَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِّنَ الْقُرُوْنِ يَمْشُوْنَ فِيْ مَسٰكِنِهِمْۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّاُولِى النُّهٰى ࣖ ( طه: ١٢٨ )
Then has not
أَفَلَمْ
क्या फिर नहीं
it guided
يَهْدِ
रहनुमाई की
[for] them
لَهُمْ
उनकी
how many
كَمْ
कि कितनी ही
We (have) destroyed
أَهْلَكْنَا
हलाक कीं हमने
before them
قَبْلَهُم
उनसे पहले
of
مِّنَ
बस्तियाँ
the generations
ٱلْقُرُونِ
बस्तियाँ
(as) they walk
يَمْشُونَ
वो चलते फिरते हैं
in
فِى
उनके घरों में
their dwellings?
مَسَٰكِنِهِمْۗ
उनके घरों में
Indeed
إِنَّ
यक़ीनन
in
فِى
इसमें
that
ذَٰلِكَ
इसमें
surely (are) Signs
لَءَايَٰتٍ
अलबत्ता निशानियाँ हैं
for possessors
لِّأُو۟لِى
अक़्ल वालों के लिए
(of) intelligence
ٱلنُّهَىٰ
अक़्ल वालों के लिए
Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna fee thalika laayatin liolee alnnuha (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:128)

फिर क्या उनको इससे भी मार्ग न मिला कि हम उनसे पहले कितनी ही नस्लों को विनष्ट कर चुके है, जिनकी बस्तियों में वे चलते-फिरते है? निस्संदेह बुद्धिमानों के लिए इसमें बहुत-सी निशानियाँ है
English Sahih:
Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence. ([20] Taha : 128)
